ALL MIXED UP IN THE HEAD
so where the hell have I been all week, eh? - well.. I've been right here.. in front of this crazy little computer, studying the arcane arts of "sound engineering" and working the wacky wikki wikki mojo of "digital remastering".. and yeah, it's really about as spastically exciting as that sounds..
the quest - prepare 15-16 musty old SUBWOOFER songs for a shiny new (debut) CD album thingy.. stage 1: get all the crappy originals, pull EVERY sample out (in a lot of cases - over 100-200 per song) give then an oil change and a clean (translation - EQ the living crap out've each one - subtractive /boost bass envelopes, boosting midrange + highend tweaks.. blah blah..) put them back into the song - fix the volume levels all happy and harmonius - then, render out the song all shiny n new - EQ THAT as well.. throw some compression into it - end result we're looking for? make our dodgy song sound as STADIUM EPIC shit sharp and bollocksing loud as wot'ever shit you could buy in the stores, the stuff they pay expensive sound engineer guys squillions of dollars to do.. but I'm doing on a computer barely worth $200.. oooooh YEAAAAH!!
so.. I'm awfully distracted by all this junk right now and I can't return your calls.. I mean, shit.. I've wasted 3 whole days, just to REMASTER ONE FREAKING SONG.. sheeesh, tedious work.. but the results? HOLY CRAP does this stuff FOOKIN' CRAAAANK!! HELL YEAH HELL YEAH!! WHOOO'S YO DADDY!! PIMP IT! PIMP IT! *BOOOOOOOOOM*
(end gibbering transmission)
